Emergency Food Pantry Distribution –
LFS seeks volunteers to assist with it emergency food pantry distribution. LFS serves over 8,000 clients per year, distributing over 15,800 pounds of food worth over $190,000. Volunteers will help to sort and distribute food on Wednesdays at Latino Family Services.
Youth Programming –
LFS seeks volunteers to support staff in youth programming. Under the guidance of LFS staff, volunteers will engage youth in activities that support physical, cognitive, and socio-emotional well-being.
Volunteers also are needed to provide care for young children during parent/guardian educational sessions.
Senior Outreach –
LFS utilize volunteer outreach workers to provide information and assistance to older adults and their families. The volunteer neighborhood advisors will use their key contacts to locate homebound seniors who may not have the access or knowledge to contact service agencies.
Office support volunteers
On an as-needed basis, office support volunteers assist the LFS staff with mailings, administrative support, and a variety of office responsibilities. Some of this work can be done at home and/or on your own time frame.
Special Events Volunteers
There are a number of special events, including fund raising events, held throughout the year at Latino Family Services. These events help raise money for LFS programming. To support these events, volunteers may help in many ways. Join us by volunteering for some of these events.
